Stefanie and James met in the summer of 2020 on the most romantic of all dating apps, Microsoft Teams. They were placed on the same project as summer interns at EY but stayed in touch after they both graduated from business school and chose different career paths.
In August of 2022, they started dating each other and quickly realized how lucky they were to have found each other. Stefanie admired James’ straightforward attitude towards the relationship and his playful cat, and James was smitten by Stefanie’s brains, beauty and ability to do home projects that scared him.

The happy couple wasted no time taking advantage of a world that was finally opening back up after COVID and quickly started exploring the world together. In two short years, they made trips to Cancun, Seattle, Orlando, Las Vegas, Utah, Amsterdam, France, Scotland, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Calgary, Puerta Vallarta, Peru, and San Diego. They didn’t just run around the world together, they started to run races as well, running the Atlanta Half Marathon twice, Peachtree Road Race, PNC 10 Miler and the Invesco Half Marathon.
Our first road trip together through Utah where we went trekking through the snow in Bryce Canyon.
The two have also learned to support each other during times when they are not traveling, running or eating at nice restaurants. James and Stef have been there for each other for layoffs, job hunts, home hunts, job burnout, losses in the family, home issues, and times when the world just seems awful. But over time, learning to rely on each other in times like these has helped break down the barriers between two individuals and help them form a family.
Today, Stefanie and James live in the Summerhill neighborhood of Atlanta with their cat Mandy Moore. James is still at EY, while Stefanie has found a home as a Product Manager at Workday. In their free time, they love going to Atlanta United games, exploring Atlanta, trying new restaurants, and vegging out on the couch with Mandy. Stefanie occasionally explores her creative side by taking art and letterpress classes, while James prefers to listen to audiobooks or play video games in his own free time. They count themselves blessed to have an amazing group of friends and a family that is supportive and caring of them and are looking forward to celebrating with everyone who can make it in June
